Best budget smartphones under Rs 10,000

1 . Samsung Galaxy S Duos

Top-tier manufacturers have been trying to wrestle away the first group from white-box makers for a few years now, but only recently have they started to pay attention to the second one. Smartphones are only now starting to emerge that have a decent spec sheet to go with the extra SIM slot. Looking to avoid astronomical charges for data traffic in roaming does not necessarily mean that you want the cheapest device possible.
Enter the Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562 - the smartphone that aims to deliver a solid smartphone experience, while juggling calls between a couple of SIMs. As usual we'll kickoff this review with a quick rundown of the smartphone's key strengths and most notable weaknesses.

2.  Motorola Moto E

Motorola has done it again. The Moto G made quite the stir in the midrange and the story continues. The next one's up - and this time it's even cheaper. With a 4.3" display of qHD resolution, a dual-core processor, 5MP camera, and a solid 1,980mAh battery, the Motorola Moto E may as well be the ultimate budget phone. One that will probably sell by itself with a €100 price tag.
Back with the Moto G, Motorola managed to disrupt the market for quite a while, making otherwise solid competitors look overpriced and underequipped. Built to a budget but delivering above, the Moto G was one of the unlikely heroes of last season - and continues to exploit the winning formula with new versions adding extra stuff like memory expansion and LTE.
Motorola is also offering the Moto E in dual-SIM flavor plus you can buy whatever colorful rear cover you like and freshen up your phone anytime. Before we continue with our detailed review, let's take a look at the Moto E key features.

  • 4.3" LCD, 540 x 960px, 256ppi; Gorilla Glass 3 with ambient light sensor
  • Android OS v4.4.3 KitKat with a promise for timely updates

  • Active noise cancellation with a secondary mic
  • 50GB of free Google Drive storage
  • 1,980 mAh battery

4. Sony Xperia M:

The Sony Xperia M is a looker, and that’s a bit of a rarity for an affordable device. Sure, it’s made out of plastic, and yes, it’s a bit screaky when you hold it tight, but on the other hand its nice soft touch plastic arced shell and the meticulously crafted buttons all speak of attention to detail that’s admirable.

KEY FEATURES OF SONY XPERIA M (WHITE)
  • 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Dual Core Processor
  • Battery STAMINA Mode for Outstanding Battery Life
  • One-touch Functions with NFC
  • Expandable Storage Capacity of 32 GB

5.Nokia XL:

The 5-inch Nokia XL is the largest in Nokia’s family of affordable Android-running phones, but just like all the rest in the X series, you’d find it hard to recognize it as an Android phone. This is because of Android Nokia X - the company’s own custom version of the platform that brings a Windows Phone-inspired interface and comes without all core Google apps. The Nokia XL does not even have the Google Play Store - instead it comes with Nokia’s own app catalog that lacks even very popular apps like Spotify and Netflix.

The Nokia XL also got quite a few things going on - the large and vivid display, a fairly well-optimized performance, dual-SIM connectivity, and it’s got both a 5-megapixel main camera and a secondary, front cam.

KEY FEATURES OF NOKIA XL (BLACK)
  • 2 MP Secondary Camera
  • Dual Standby SIM (GSM + GSM)
  • 5-inch LCD Capacitive Touchscreen
  • FM Radio
  • 1 GHz Dual Core Processor
  • Expandable Storage Capacity of 32 GB
  • Your Fastlane to Android Apps
  • 5 MP Primary Camera
  • Wi-Fi Enabled
