KEY FEATURES OF ASUS ZENFONE 6
Asus Zenfone 6 is priced at Rs Rs.16,999
Pros:
1.Gorgeous display for mid end phone. However dont expect high ppis of Ipad4 with Retina display or IPad air but then you should not be at this price range. That said, you can not see any pixels and the screen is viewable at various angles.
2. Decent 2 Ghz Intel Clovertrail+ processor. Handles most games ok. Was able to play Temple Run/Candy Crush and Asphalt 8 without problems. Had problems loading one flavor of the GTA game. Phone gets heated around the flash area with minimal use of the phone/while gaming. Not too excessive but enough to notice via bare hands. No lags in opening the app or booting or switching between apps which is great at this price range.
3. Camera - Fantastic 13MP camera with different capture modes. Takes excellent low light photos with lots of detail. Edit: Got to use the camera a little more and it rocks. Best I've seen/used so far. Has a DSLR like mode for closeup shots and has excellent low light captures.
4. Zen UI - Makes lot of handy improvements to productivity but takes some time getting used to if you have only had the vanilla android experience. THe timeline/do-it-later on the phone are really handy!
Cons:
1.Sound - Mediocre speaker sound. While carrying out the device in the street, you can not hear the phone ring even at max volume.
2. Apps - Some apps faced lag. I closed Asphalt 8 and returned to main screen and the sound of the app continued to play for 2-3 secs after the app was closed. No biggie because this phone is not meant to play high end games. Other games such as subway surfer, angry birds etc. play really well with no issues.
Final Recommendation:
A decent buy at this range. I decided to get mine exchanged for a family member . Increasing rating to 5 stars. If only the speaker sound was louder this would be a game changer at this level!!
