Khoobsurat : Overall a good attempt to remake such a classic movie.

Atlast a sigh of relief for the bollywood fans.the year 2014 was so far going pathetic for the Indian movies fans but this long wait has been broken and the one to do so is The Movie Khoobsurat.Awesome acting by Soonam Kapoor And The debut-ant Fawad Khan.Sound Tracks were even good. The story a bit too draggy but still was good enough to hold the audiences on to their seats.all in all it was a good mixture of comedy and romance with a bit of drama too.thumbs up to the production of the movie and its cast.Hope you guys continue to do the awesome job and help bollywood revive its prestige unlike what the other movies are doing

Plot :

 Khoobsurat is a quirky, modern romantic comedy about what happens when a vibrant, hopelessly romantic physiotherapist meets handsome young Rajput prince who is the complete opposite of her and is engaged to someone else. It is a battle of values between two individually crazy families one that encourages discipline and self - restraint versus the other, which is all for spontaneity and open mindedness. Khoobsurat looks at universal themes: being able to love and respect yourself; and having to fight for the things you really want. Mili (sonam) is a physiotherapist who is quite outspoken and her mother (kirron kher) feels her daughter deserves a rich alliance. One day, Mili offers to fill up for her colleague by attending to the royal family of Sambalgarh because the man of the house Sekhar (Aamir raza) is a paralytic. All matters happen under the strict eye of the lady of the house Nirmala Rathore (ratna). Mili enters the disciplined house and things go for a toss. Even Nirmala's son Vikram (fawad) also dislikes her but things change at one point. What exactly happens forms the rest.

Cast:

Sonam Kapoor :

   Sonam Kapoor is pretty, but vexingly concerned only with the external elements of her character - the arc, the nuances and shadings a proper, committed actress would bring (as Rekha did so winningly) completely escape her. So she ends up being unrelentingly strident - and it's hard to imagine any person who's completed med school and holds down a professional job being so gauche and junglee, which the writers try to persuade us is being charmingly free-spirited.

Fawad Khan :

   Fawad Khan's face expressions were more than amazing. He is a good looking good actor. He has done a superb work here.

Kiron Kher ;

  Kirron Kher was entertaining. She is the only person which makes this movie interesting and at the end gives a good humorous end.

Ratna Pathak :

  Ratna Pathak as a strict disciplined mother did well and her character matches to her own character from the program Sharabhai vs Sharabhai.

Direction :

 The director of this movie must have worked so hard to make such an amazing movie. The director has come up with an predictable storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was good. The dialogues were good. The script was expected and the screenplay was very tight for the most part, and good. The background score was melodious and three songs were worth watching. Cinematography was the main strength to this film. Editing okay but was required at few places. Costumes were well designed to suit the royalty while the art department was majestic.

Verdict: 3/5

Conclusion :

  I would say it was a Disney thing. Family, comedy, romance and drama. Couldn't control the loudness of my laugh quite a few times. I won't like to compare this Khoobsurat with Rekha's Khoobsurat as standards have been changed a lot in this long long gap. Sonam Kapoor done a lot better than her previous works after Delhi 6. Fawad Khan's face expressions were more than amazing. He is a good looking good actor. He has done a superb work here. Kiron Kher was typical entrainment with her famous Punjabi style as seen in 'Total Sayapa' and her other movies. Cinematography was done marvellously.
 Music area needed more attention. Just felt few usual overdone scenes. Last couple of minutes were not felt live as expected to be.

Overall it was entertainment, rather say enjoyed my 127 minutes.
