How to root Xperia Z2 with locked and unlocked Bootloader Devices


Sony developer DoomLoRD has achieved full root access on Sony's new Xperia Z2. Currently, the root supports only Windows.
RootKit takes advantage of a system vulnerability called ASEC to achieve full root access on the Xperia Z2. DoomLord’s rootkit has been successfully tested on Xperia Z2 with firmware version 17.1.A.2.55/.6917.1.A.2.55/.69, but it might work on other firmwares too. 
The Community rootkit is very easy to use .

Pre-Requisites:
  • The Xperia Z2 should be running firmware version 17.1.A.2.55 or 17.1.A.2.69.
  • Necessary USB drivers for Xperia Z2 should be installed on the computer.
  • Create a backup ,as this tutorial might wipe all your data .
  • The Xperia Z2 should be running firmware version 17.1.A.2.55 or 17.1.A.2.69.
  • Necessary USB drivers for Xperia Z2 should be installed on the computer.
  • Battery level should be above 80%.

Root Sony Xperia Z2 :

Now here’s is what you need to do to root your Xperia Z2:
  1. Download the latest version of the Community RootKit: Z2-Community_RootKit.zip
  2. Connect the USB cable to your phone first and then  to the computer.
  3. Extract the zip and open the extracted folder.
  4. Find the RUNME.bat and double-click the file to run it.
  5. You’ll see a cmd window on your computer.
  6. Read and follow the on-screen instructions.
  7. When the root script is finished, Disconnect the USB cable from the phone and reboot it once the script window disappears.

Done! Now, your Xperia Z2 has been successfully rooted. If you wish to verify proper root privilege on your phone, install the Root Checker app from the play Store and run it.
