Camera and Internal Storage
Xolo has gone done a great job in the imaging department by packing the device with great an impressive camera set. At the back of the Play 8X-1200 is a 13 MP PureCel camera sensor with dual LED flash and FHD 1080p video recording. The PureCel sensor is capable of capturing quality FHD 1080p video calls and save the power of the battery to a largely. These aspects look amazing on paper and we can comment on it finally only after a hands-on with the device. At the front of the handset, there is a 5 MP camera at the front which has BSI sensor and flash for good quality video calls and selfies.
Storage wise, the handset comes with 32 GB of native storage capacity that should suffice in storing all the necessary content. However, the device is devoid a micro SD card slot for additional storage support.
Processor and Battery
Under the hood of the Xolo Play 8X-1200 is a 2 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592T processor that can deliver superior processor speed with its eight cores. This is paired with a 700 MHz Mali 450 GPU to render great force and speed for a good mobile gaming experience. Also, there is 2 GB of RAM capacity onboard for decent multi-tasking.
A 2,300 mAh battery is present to juice it up the smartphone and it is rated to deliver up to 11 hours of talk time and 547 hours of standby on 3G networks.
Display and Features
The display unit is a 5 inch one with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels resulting in a 441 ppi pixel density. The OGS technology will make the handset thin as it reduces the gap between the panel and the touch.
