Raja Natwarlal : Highly implausible yet totally entertaining

Raja Natwarlal is a Nice and Entertaining Film. This time Emraan Hashmi Fans wont be disappointed. After the Average movie "GHANCHAKKAR" . Emraan Hashmi will be seen on screen after a gap of more than a year.

Plot :

Raja and Raghav are partners in crime who hustle their way through the city of Mumbai and live off their meager cons. During one such con, Raghav is murdered and Raja's life takes a grave turn instigating him to avenge the killers of his best friend and partner. On his journey of revenge, he decides to team up with Yogi who is a senior con artist but has been on a self imposed sabbatical. Raja after much persuasion is able to convince Yogi that its imperative for him to avenge his partner's death and the person responsible is an influential and powerful man named, Varda. Along with a team, Raja and Yogi work together to pull of one massive con that will bring all of Varda's riches and reputation to the ground. They face many twists and turns leading up to the final stage; but do they make it or will the final con act fall apart for all to witness?

Cast :

Emraan Hashmi :

Emraan did a great job as usual . Emraan Hashmi has improved tremendously especially after "Shanghai" he does complete justice to his character Raja.

Paresh Rawal :

It is Paresh Rawal who steals the limelight with his fantastic portrayal of Yogi; it is always a delight to watch such a brilliant actor perform. The Jodi of Paresh & Emraan as 'Guru & Chela' was worth a watch.

Kay Kay Menon :

Kay Kay Menon flips from psychotic to ice cool villain at the flick of the switch but, as always, he never fails to deliver and is believable as the rich and corrupt antagonist.

Deepak Tijori :

Deepak Tijori makes a comeback with Raghav and he creates an impact with his brief role. Rest of the cast also does a good job.

Humaina malik :
Not many scenes given to Humaima to show her talent but yeah she is good. Whatever India's verdict on her debut, she will still have her outstanding lead role in Shoaib Mansoor's "Bol" under her belt.

Direction :

Kunal Deshmukh tries to balance between being realistic and fictional, but fails a bit on the realistic front and goes a bit overboard with cinematic liberties becoming too fictional. Nevertheless Kunal's attempt is good and better than many movies which released in the recent past. Do not expect a "Special 26" and you won't be disappointed.

Verdict : 2.5/5

Conclusion :

Overall It's a nice film with enjoyable moments (Songs were really nice especially 'Tere Hoke Rehenge' 'Namak Paare' 'Kabhi Ruhani Kabhi Rumani'). And if you are a Emraan Hashmi fan then you must watch it.

You will not be disappointed at all.
